
Daniel R. Isbell (Ph.D. Second Language Studies, Michigan State University) is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Second Language Studies at the University of Hawai`i at Mānoa where he teaches courses in language assessment and quantitative research methods. Dan is a recipient of the 2022 Jacqueline Ross TOEFL® Dissertation Award. He currently serves as an Associate Editor at Language Learning and as a member of the Language Testing editorial board. His work has been published in journals such as The Modern Language Journal, Language Testing, Language Learning, and Studies in Second Language Acquisition.
